Back to School

Well it's that time of year again...summer is gone
and everyone is getting ready for the new school year!

The kids are excited about their new teachers and the friends that are in their classroom.....but not so much about what's in store for the new school year...they are nervous and parents are dreading the early morning routine...but let's make the best of it and prepare a little goody for the teacher that will be taking care of the our most precious little gifts...

Here is a goody basket that I prepared for both of my kids teachers...filled it with useful supplies that all teachers need throughout the year....apple shaped calculator, post it notes, paper clips, thumbtacks, scotch tape, binder clips and of course...some chocolate for those difficult moments!

Enjoy!

More End of Year Teacher Gifts

Here is a bouquet of child/adult generated paper flowers with "loving" messages for that special teacher!
Different size petal templates were made and my kids colored them in...we glued them together and added the stickers of special messages that were printed on sticker paper :)

The seed packet is actually a label I created on the computer and applied it to an envelope...here is where the monies collected from all the students as a gift for the teacher will be placed!

A closer look at those special messages...

Enjoy! :)

Teacher Gift

Today was the first day of school for my son and daughter...
they're growing up way too fast...Prek 3 and First Grade!
Every year I take the teachers a little something on the first day of school...
this year - I did the following for my daughter's teacher...Mrs. Casanas!

I bought a shadow box and with crayons created her initial....
"C"
Mrs. Casanas..looking forward to a wonderful year :)

My daughter drew her a beautiful picture and we placed it over the frame with a beautiful bow....

She gave it to Mrs. Casanas this morning and says that her teacher LOVED it! :)
The look on my daughters face was just amazing as she expressed her happiness :)

Children are the most amazing blessings...cherish every moment!
ENJOY :)

Teacher Gift

Today was Jorge Sebastian's first day of school - PreK-3!
My son presented his teacher with this sweet little potted plant....
He was so excited this morning!

I went shopping with him to find the plant he wanted for his teacher and he chose pink flowers because he says that girls like pink!

I bought a 5"diameter terracotta pot and painted it red...hot glued all the crayons and added the yellow bow as a final detail :)

My son was so proud to give this to his teacher this morning....

His smile....amazing :)
ENJOY :)

End of Year Gift....

This gift basket was created for my friend that took care of both my children prior to them going into Pre-school....She is very special to me and has loved my children dearly....I wanted to do something special and different for her...This basket shows all the goodies we made :) Enjoy !!!!

Pictured above is a clipboard scrapbook that I created...I used burlap for the cover page and sewed red yarn around the perimeter...inside I included pictures of both my children sharing their birthdays or special days with her and her family...
Since the theme was the ocean due to the beautiful framed artwork that I made with my children's fingerprints...I continued creating unique ways of showing her how special she is to us....I made a bucket o'thanks....the bucket was filled with seashells as personalized with messages telling her how much we appreciated all the things she did for my children... :)
The bucket was purchased at Target and I added Martha Stewart stickers to make it a bit more special... :)
