Back to School

Well it's that time of year again...summer is gone 
and everyone is getting ready for the new school year!


The kids are excited about their new teachers and the friends that are in their classroom.....but not so much about what's in store for the new school year...they are nervous and parents are dreading the early morning routine...but let's make the best of it and prepare a little goody for the teacher that will be taking care of the our most precious little gifts... 


Here is a goody basket that I prepared for both of my kids teachers...filled it with useful supplies that all teachers need throughout the year....apple shaped calculator, post it notes, paper clips, thumbtacks, scotch tape, binder clips and of course...some chocolate for those difficult moments!

Interior Changes

These homeowners wanted a change...so off to work we go!

We began by having this amazing wallpaper installed at the dining area.

We painted and re-arrranged some of the existing furniture, accessories and artwork....

the following pictures show what we have done till now...stay tuned for some more changes :)

T-Shirt Design

This is the original artwork that was made for a T-Shirt designed by me for our school's Gifted Program :)

Fingerprint Art

A closer look at the fingerprint art that I created with my children's fingerprints....

All the artwork is made with my children's fingerprints...The art teacher I work with, Mrs. Zebrowski, introduced me to this idea and I just went with it when I was planning a very special end of the year gift for a friend that has taken care of both my kids prior to beginning Pre-school :) Just Delightful!!!

I took my children's hands and painted them according to the image I wanted to capture...then either I outlined their hands to create the sea creature of choice or just added the details needed to accomplish the same :) Pictured above are crabs....those were created using both hands and placing one palm print over the other....for the fingers - all were printed except the thumbs...the little legs were created by printing their pinky finger... :) enjoy!!!

Here is a dolphin and below it a whale...these were made in the same manner...I just fingerprinted their palm and four fingers...no thumbs...then I outlined each to create the dolphin or whale...

Once the pictures were complete, I added a background and a poem to the framed art...

Kindergarten Graduation Announcement

Time just goes by too fast....my 5 year old is graduating from Kindergarten....
The school has planned a delightful celebration for students....I will be posting some pictures!
I made an announcement to send out to our family and friends in memory of this special day!
I googled different kindergarten graduation poems and put something together for he announcement.

I found the cardstock and envelopes at Michaels as well as all the ribbon and stickers...The small envelope had a picture of the little graduate! Too cute!

The "school day" ribbon I used to decorate the envelope....

Mother's Day

It's been a bit crazy...so I have not been posting as often...but summer is here and I hope to be posting much more! Here are pictures of some Mother's Day Spa Baskets I made for my daughter and son's teacher...the actual gift was a spa gift certificate...and I added sponges, towels, jeweled flip flops, relaxing lotions, etc...to personalize them a bit more - I added a picture of my son and daughter along with a little saying to each of the special ladies... :) enjoy!

WORK IN PROGRESS

Well, my niece finally moved into to her apartment and little by little we're getting it all ready!
Here are some pictures to show the work in progress...The apartment is new and the style they want is modern with a twist...
So, we got to work-the apartment was painted all white
PERFECT...a blank canvas to work with!
Some of the furniture has been purchased and is an ongoing process. I will post pictures of this new venture periodically.
